This banjo is designed to offer a travel size banjo that is capable of producing a good sound with a relatively small rim.  The neck is a 24" scale with a frailing scoop.  The rim assembly is a 10" diameter pot with internal resonator very much like the early Bacon banjos.  This combination makes a very comfortable player with plenty of volume.  The tone ring is a 5/16" rolled brass rod which sits directly on the rim.
